New Job!

Cade and I have almost finished the first week my new job- staying home with him:) After much thought, prayers and discussions, we decided that this would be a great opportunity and blessing for our family (Thanks, Heath!). I know it is still early, but so far, we have had SO much fun! We have read books, sang, danced, played and run a few errands. Not to mention that I have had time to get dinner cooked...whew!

It is definitely different than going to a "real" job (although this one is a LOT more physical!), but I am so thankful to be able to do this right now. Cade is definitely the cutest boss I have ever had (even if he is the most demanding:).

10 Months Old!

I can't believe that in just two months, our baby will be celebrating his 1st Birthday!

Cade was tagged by Lily and Mamie to tell 8 things about himself. He is a pretty funny baby, so that shouldn't be too hard. Here goes:

8 Things about Cade

1. Bath time is my favorite time of the day. No matter how tired I am, just seeing the bath water running puts a smile on my face. I could play in the tub for hours!

2. I love to have my picture taken. Put a camera in front of me, and I will get a smile on my face instantly.

3. The only other thing I love as much as bathtime is my Push-n-go car. I always crawl over to it and try to make car sounds like my Daddy. Mommy and Daddy sometimes have to hide it from me because I want to be pushed so much!

4. I am not big on sleeping. I am always afraid of missing something.

5. I have quite an arm. Ever since Daddy showed me how to throw, I like to throw ALL of my toys (future pitcher maybe?).

6. I love to be outside and am looking forward to the spring.

7. I like music and always bounce and/or clap when I hear it.

8. I am a very sweet, happy boy and love to give hugs!

Growing and growing...

It is hard to believe that this time last year, I was just in the beginning of my third trimester, starting to get anxious about Cade's arrival. Oh what a difference a year makes! Now that Cade is finally well, he is really making up for lost time! Last Friday, he was sitting in the floor and started clapping out of the blue (maybe it does not sound like much, but when your baby does it for the first time, it is the cutest thing EVER!)
Our next milestone has been pulling up. I went in his room the other day to find him standing in his crib. He also started using his push walker and loves to go back and forth from me to Heath and back.
Finally, I noticed today that one of his top teeth finally broke through. And the one next to it is at the top of the gums.
Oh- we did have one other first. I got paged out of my Sunday school class for the first time on Sunday. I actually kept Cade with me the whole time during church (which is not very usual- most of the time he is too loud and squirmy). When I left him in the nursery, he was crawling around and playing. Apparently, about five minutes later, Cade noticed that another baby's mom came to get him, which made Cade think "Where is my Mama?" Needless to say, I barely got out in the hallway before I could hear him screaming (not so much a cry-a mad scream.) Of course, he was also tired, so after some rocking, he fell asleep. Oh well, better luck next week!

"Look Mom! I'm standing!"

Last but not least...Why you should never play AIRPLANE with a baby that has just eaten dinner:

You would think a Mama would know better. At least Cade and Heath found it funny:)

Sick Baby:(

Whew! What a long, stressful, sleepless week we have had! Ever since Christmas, Cade has definitely not felt his best. It all came to a head last Saturday morning when we had to take him on his first trip to the ER (It was not a super emergency, but he had been up coughing/wheezing nonstop, and after talking to the doctor at 2:30 a.m. she felt it was better safe that sorry!) Between the coughing, fever, sore throat and ear aches, I think it has been hard on all three of us. The pediatrician thinks he had bronchitis, combined with red ears and throat. But after multiple daily breathing treatments with a nebulizer and an antibiotic, Cade finally seems back to his smiley, cheerful self (Thank Goodness!) A special thanks to Diana, Pam and Rick for helping with Cade and letting me and Heath get a little sleep!

Lord Have Mercy, Baby's got his Blue Jeans on!

After complaining about some of the "sissy" clothes that I put on Cade, Heath decided on a recent shopping trip that he was going to buy him some "manly" clothes, including his first pair of blue jeans:

These are just a couple of my most recent pictures:
