Weekend Fun!

We are so glad to (finally) have a sunny weekend, so of course we had to get out and enjoy it!

He was so excited that his best buddy Ellen was there...

and her sister, Rachel!

On Saturday afternoon, Jud and Bevin took Cade and Heath out for a boat ride. I was sad that I didn't get to go, but at this stage I knew that I would either be extremely sea sick from a large baby bouncing around in my belly, or go into labor (hmmm...maybe I should have gone!) Cade had a great time and could not stop talking about it!

MDO Program, Graduation & a Bump

On May 14, Cade has his last day of Mother's Day Out until the fall (a sad day for moms:). That night, his school had their program where each of the classes got to sing a few songs. Cade's class was the youngest, and they were so sweet. We were sitting several rows back with Rick and Pam, but Cade spotted us almost immediately when he got on the stage. Even though you could mostly just hear the teachers leading the singing, his class was definitely loving all of the interactions that went with the songs. "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands..."
"Twinkle, twinkle little star"

The grand finale: "Old MacDonald." Cade and his friend, Trevor, were the horses.

Cade and his beloved teacher, Mrs. Dana. He already misses her and keeps asking when he can go see her:)

The following Sunday, our cousin, Elliott (Ewiott, as Cade calls him) graduated from Friendship Christian School here in Lebanon. He was the valedictorian of his class, and gave an awesome speech. Luckily, we had chosen to sit near the back, so it wasn't too embarrassing when Cade was standing up in his chair saying "Mommy, there's Ewiott! I see Ewiott up there!" He is going to East Tennessee State in the fall, and will be a Chemistry/Pre-Med major. We are so proud of him!

Finally, here are me and Emmy at almost 38 weeks. I had Cade a little after 38 weeks, so even though I don't feel like much is going to happen soon, I am trying to realize that she could decide to come any minute now. Either way, we will have a baby in about two weeks or less!

Out With the Old...

Gorgeous chandelier from Mom and Dad:)

I am so happy with how the nursery turned out! Of course, I have always loved pink:) Now just a few more weeks and we will have a baby girl to put in it. I actually went to the doctor this morning for a checkup. We got a quick peak ultrasound, and all was measuring right on time. The ultrasound tech estimated that she is currently around 5 lb. 11 oz. with just over three weeks to go...they say that in the last month of pregnancy the baby can gain up to a pound each week, so she may be a whopper if she cooks too long! Oh yeah, the doctor also said that I am "about a fingertip" dilated. That almost made me laugh out loud, as a fingertip sounds about as good as nothing! Overall, I am feeling better this week than I have the past couple, even though I can get pretty uncomfortable sometimes. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes! Now it is just a waiting game...

FNL

In honor of it being Friday, I thought I would blog about one of mine and Heath's absolute favorite tv shows. It has only been on for a few seasons, but we are addicted! It is called Friday Night Lights, and it is all about a small town that is obsessed with high school football (I wonder why I like it:) The show is actually set in Dillon, TX, and as you can imagine, nearly every episode has at least some football game highlights and lots of drama. If you haven't seen it yet, I think all seasons are on DVD, and hopefully season 4 will start up in the fall. Better yet, who wouldn't like a show where the coach looks like this:

Coach Eric Taylor (Dad I am sure you are a very close second!)
And who can forget the players:
Tim Riggins #33- my favorite! (I decided that it is okay to think this HS player is a cutie, since in real life he is only a year younger than me...in fact, I wonder if I will get cast anytime soon to be on the FNL cheerleading squad???)

In honor of our obsession, our dear friends Scott and Kristy (who coincidentally live in Texas and are also big show fans) sent this to Mr. Cade for his birthday. He calls it his Tim Riggins shirt:
