Dressing Up

What better to wear to school on a rainy day than your rain slicker and galoshes?

This sweet outfit was made for Emmy by one of my dear college friends, Stephanie Sabbe. She is super talented with her sewing and crafting (check out her blog in my favorites) . Not to mention the fact that she is a fabulous interior designer. She recently moved to Boston while her husband completes his medical residency. We miss you, Steph!
I never thought I would be a bow band kind of person, but when you have a bald baby, well, you can easily change your mind!

Cade and Emmy

I promise I will have a new, more exciting post soon. We have been busy this week. Cade started back to his preschool (it is only 1.5 hours, 2 days a week, but it gives me and Emmy time to run a few errands). He loves going there, and his teacher is awesome. He was in her summer program for six weeks, and we decided to enroll him for the school year in addition to his MDO.

As far as Miss Emmy goes, she turned two months old on Wednesday! Hard to believe- this summer has flown by! Yesterday, we went for her two month checkup and shots. She weighed in at 11 lbs. 5 oz. That put her in the 61st percentile for her age. Not bad for a girl who started her life two months ago in the 21st percentile:). She is really developing a little personality of her own (the princess, as we call her), and is smiling so much now.
