DollyWood!

I have been a little behind on getting these pictures posted! For Mother's Day weekend, the three of us went to celebrate with my mom and family. Wendy and Brad were able to come, too, so Mom and Dad treated us all to a fun filled day at DollyWood. For those of you that have never been, I know it sounds a bit hokey, but it is actually super fun with lots of fun rides, good shows, and great food (although I will admit that the rock speakers blaring "Islands in the Stream" are a bit cheesy:) Cade was so good all day and had the best time. Poor guy was sound asleep before we even pulled out of the parking lot. The park has an awesome kiddie section, and we decided to see if he would be interested in any of the rides. Needless to say, he loved all of them, and did not even want me or Heath to ride with him. Already a daredevil! Also not a surprise: he loves funnel cakes...but who doesn't?

Funny Baby

This little guy literally cracks me up every day. I can't take Cade anywhere without him laughing, waving and smiling at people. Heath says he is like a mini Miss America:) Here are some funny pictures I took of him last week:

I bought Cade some baby utensils so he could try to feed himself, and mashed up a sweet potato for his first try. I am not sure if any even got in his mouth. If you can tell, he even has it on his eyelid.
Still trying to hit his mouth!

Ready for church. He has been dubbed the "class clown" by the ladies who teach his class.

Last but not least, for some reason, Cade has become obsessed with my bathing suit drawer. It is the one closest to the ground, and he loves to pull the suits out and carry them around (or in this case try to put it on:)

Hangin' Tough...

Is anyone else as excited about the NKOTB reunion as I am? After I saw this clip on the Today show, I remembered just exactly how much I loooooved the New Kids back in the day (although they are all over 30 now, so can the really even be considered "kids?") Circa 1992, I am talking about a TWO concerts, a t-shirt, a wall full of posters from Teen Beat magazine, bed sheets (that's right, bed sheets!) kind of obsession with the New Kids. Apparently, I am not the only one. Matt Lauer said that today's performances drew one of the biggest crowds they have ever see on the plaza, even in the pouring rain. I have attached the video below for all of you old school fans to enjoy in case you missed it:). Unfortunately, their reunion tour is not coming to Nashville. Maybe next time...

Happy Mother's Day!

Oh what a difference a year makes! It is funny think that this time last year, I had a sweet, sleepy little newborn that we dedicated at church on my first Mother's Day. One year later and I have a funny, squirmy, loving little toddler (that's right folks, we are officially walking!). Everyone says it goes by fast, but you never realize how fast until you experience it for yourself. God has continued to bless me and my boys this year, and I am so thankful to have been able to spend another great Mother's Day with the two of them! I hope that all of you other mothers out there had a great day as well, and that everyone out there sent some love to their own mothers.

Triple the fun!

We stopped by the Crockett house last night to visit. Cade had so much fun playing with the triplets. They are now 7.5 months old, and are really interactive. Elea Rhea started crawling, and Ian Thomas and Campbell are getting close to being mobile, too. I think Cade was in awe of the fact that there were three babies to play with:). They are so cute, and I know that the four of them will be lifelong friends (just like Heath and Ian, the triplets dad). We are looking forward to a fun summer with them!
